Self Assessment

There are many circumstances where you may be required to submit a self-assessment tax return to HMRC. However, the most common reasons for this requirement are as follows:

  • You are self-employed, a business partner, or director of a Limited company
  • You are an employee or pensioner with an annual income of £100,000 or more
  • You received pre-tax investment income of £10,000 or more
  • You are a landlord

Whether you have recently fallen into one of the above categories or have been submitting self-assessment returns for a number of years, please get in touch to discuss your requirements and arrange a free consultation.

Limited Company

Forming a company can be a big step for any business. There are many advantages and disadvantages to consider, and seeking the advice of a qualified accountant should be the first step for any business owner.

If a Limited company structure is the route you wish to take, we can help navigate you through the minefield of decisions to be made surrounding the formation and registration of this company.

Once up and running, we can assist you to whatever level you feel is needed, from simply preparing your annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, right up to an “all inclusive” package that would include a regular payroll (and CIS administration if required), submission of your annual return and all bookkeeping duties.

Other Services

There are of course many other services that you may require from your accountant.

For example, if your taxable turnover exceeds £85,000, you will be required to become VAT registered with HMRC. We would take care of advising you on the various schemes available and the registration process. We can also assist in the invoicing process, along with preparing and filing the VAT returns.

Other services you may require include the preparation of management accounts, for the purpose of monitoring the performance of your business on a regular basis, or as a condition of a bank loan for example.

If your business needs a financial controller at short notice, our director, Oliver Benton, a Chartered Certified accountant, is available for temporary hire.

Fees

Every client is unique and will have different needs and requirements. Therefore, fees will vary according to this.

In almost all cases we will agree a fixed fee before we commence any work, giving you peace of mind and transparency of costs.
